I waited on one side of the street for the sign to say “Walk”. There was a girl on the other side, also waiting. It became clear after a moment that we were staring at each other. We probably weren’t that moved by the others beauty or anything like that, but being the roughly the same age and the opposite sex, our eyes kept falling on one another. When the light changed we went our seperate ways, stopping for just one moment to take one last look at the other while we passed. Because there’s always a small chance that the person you pass in the street is the person you’re supposed to spend the rest of your life with and, in a city of 8 million, you might completely miss them if you’re not careful.
